Christmas is coming!
It's been hard to keep up with blogging. I don't know how people find the time!
I've been busy making these cute Christmas outfits for some lovely customers. Which is your favourite?
I LOVE the gorgeous reindeer print from Michael Miller. Wish I had bought more of this fabric! but the Riley Blake Santa Swirl is pretty cute too.
I LOVE these knot bows! They are the perfect accompaniment to the outfit. Super easy to make and a great way to use up remmies.
This Riley Blake Christmas tree skirt with matching trim has been popular too. I just love it! Super cute on a little girl.
And for the boys...(I seem to always forget about the boys) these trendy little shorts. I'll be getting around to doing matching singlets or bodysuits too. Super cute!
It's never to early to get ready for Christmas! :)

Nappy Cake and a Baby Shower
This weekend my sister had her baby shower.
It's very exciting planning and preparing for a baby. I wanted to give her something special, and since I make some cute baby gifts ;o) I thought I would put them all together in a nappy cake for her.
Have you ever made a nappy cake? This was my first one, and it wasn't that easy. I think I did it the hard way. Lots of sticky tape and ribbon, but it turned out okay. I am sure there is an easier way!
Since she doesn't (or claims she doesn't) know the gender of the baby, I went with green. It just so happened the nappies matched, so that was PERFECT!
The nappy cake contained a Taggie giraffe, elephant print bib, taggie blanket and 3 terry toweling face washers (which I edged on my over-locker), as well as 40 newborn sized nappies.
It looked pretty cute in the end, and she loved it. That's all that matters!
I also made a few decorations for the tables. (My mum and sister-in-law did all the hard work, I just got to do the fun stuff).
Some miniature bunting for the cake, using my Stampin' Up! banner punch and my trusty sewing machine. I've never sewn on paper before, but it was surprisingly easy! And how good does this cheesecake look!!
And some larger bunting for the table - also using Stampin' Up! DSP and my trusty paper trimmer. These ones I threaded with a needle and thread. A little time consuming, but not too difficult.
And lastly these sweet little thank you treats.
It's meant to be a baby wearing a nappy. They look a little bit like undies, but you get the idea :)
It was a gorgeous day, and I think she had a lovely afternoon. She certainly received some beautiful gifts.

Gerald and Geraldine
I'm sneaking a few minutes to catch up on some posts. Let's see how far I get!
I've fallen in love with these little guys! They are fiddly and drive me crazy, but once that last stitch goes in I think they are the greatest thing ever. I just can't stop looking at them.
The first one I made went to my 2 year old daughter (because it didn't turn out quite right), and she LOVES him. She has named him Gerald and I often find him tucked under her arm when she is sleeping.
This set became my new banner for our facebook page and madeit store. I wanted to keep them all, but one by one they have gone to a good home.
These sets are such a cute idea and a wonderful baby shower gift.
Now that I have embarked on the "taggie toy" adventure, I keep looking for something else to make. I think I might try owls next!

Sketch Layout #12
I'm getting behind in my blogging. There perhaps one day I'll have time to catch up. For now thought, here is Sketch Layout challenge number 12!
The layout was quite simple but cute, set once again by Christy at A Christy Production.
This time I decided to do some sweet gift cards. I still quite like the Strawberry Slush/Daffodil Delight combo, so I went with that for these two cards.
I like gift cards because in my mind they take less time to create, and when you give a gift card you don't need to write as much inside :)
Here is what I came up with:
I finally got some new punches! For these cards I used the Petite Petals punch. I had to hand cut around the heart and cupcake though.
These cards use a mix of DSP, Washi Tape and card stock with some bling.
Don't forget anyone is free to join in the card making challenges. Just click here and request to be added. The more the merrier!

Sketch Layout Challenge #11
Thanks again to A Christy Production for this month's sketch design. It was a funky geometric layout this time, and I quite liked it.
I went for something bright, and stuck to the layout pretty spot on, with this birthday card.
I used the follwoing Stampin' Up! products to make this card:

I used the follwoing Stampin' Up! products to make this card:
- Card stock - Real Red, Island Indigo, Whisper White and Daffodil Delight
- Triangles - Polka Dot Parade (real red) DSP series in Island Indigo and Daffodil Delight, Lucky Limeade card stock
- Stamp - An old Stampin' Up! set called "Pun Fun". I love the hippo stamp. I used Real Red and Island Indigo classic ink pads
- Embellishments - Island Indigo ruffle ribbon and a real red brad dot.
- Double sided tape and dimensionals for some of the triangles.

And we're BACK!
I have had quite a decent break since being unwell with morning sickness, and now having a new baby, but all of a sudden I really wanted to start sewing again! Having baby on the mind a lot has made me shift grubbee slightly towards baby and toddler goods. It's the same great quality with some extra cuteness.
Obviously time with two kids is a little bit stretched, but here is a sample of what I have available. Visit our madeit store if you would like to purchase anything. Make sure you like us on Facebook too so you can keep up-to-date with what's new and participate in competitions.
Here we go:
Some great gift ideas!
Taggie Giraffe
Taggie Blanket
Measuring approximately 25cm x 25cm, made from quilters cotton and minky dot. Ribbons are double stitched for security. A great security blanket for little ones and will keep them busy.
Baby Bibs
These are really cute! Perfect for little bubs, to catch the dribbles and when trying first foods. They measure approximately 14cm from the neck to the base and close with a metal snap fastener. Made from quality quilters cotton, or jersey knit and backed with absorbent Terry cotton. Lightweight, easy to care for and gentle on bub.
Bundle and save!
We have the perfect new baby gift ideas! I've decided to bundle this time, making it easier and cheaper for you to find a gift. All our skirts are reversible, so that's twice the skirt for one great price! Skirt and bib bundles are great for new babies, and skirt and hair accessory bundles are perfect for that special toddler.
Sweet Sets for boys and girls
I think these are my favourite at the moment. They are super cute. Shorts and skirts are made from 100% cotton and the store bought onesie is appliqued to match.
Bow Ties
How cute are they!? I love these too :) Made from 100% cotton with a velcro closure. They are available in two different sizes - 0-2 years and 3-6 years. I'm sure I could always make a larger size too, for the big kids.
This is something new for grubbee but the perfect accompaniment to any grubbee gift. At the moment I've only made new baby cards, but plan to make some birthday cards too. Each card is handmade using quality Stampin' Up! products and comes with an envelope. So be sure to check out our selection of cards before you finalise your purchases. Occasions Cards
